Sacramento, California – Yesterday, the Senate Natural Resources & Water Committee passed SB 1126, the Arroyo Seco Tributary Legislation. The bill is now headed to the Senate Floor for a vote. SB 1126 is authored by Senator Anthony J. Portantino, D – La Cañada Flintridge, and purposes to include the Arroyo Seco Tributary in the Upper Los Angeles River and Tributaries Working Group plan.

Sacramento, California – Today, the Senate Public Safety Committee passed SB 1100 authored by Senator Anthony J. Portantino, D – La Cañada Flintridge.  SB 1100 prohibits a person from making more than one firearm purchase within a 30-day period in California and increases the age requirement for purchasing all firearms to 21 years.

Rebuilding an electricity-generating plant in the city of Glendale would be a significant step in that city’s future, but the decision facing its City Council on Tuesday has broader implications.
