Save Our Water
Water is a critical part of California’s way of life. Our economy, our environment and our day-to-day lifestyle need water to flourish. Even with the recent rains our water is still limited. The years of low levels of snow and rain mean that it continues to be a challenge for our water supply to meet the state's needs. Conservation helps us stretch the water we have.
Surviving the Heat
Overexposure to heat or excessive exercise in the heat can cause injuries if a person’s body is unable to adjust to temperature changes. The severity of such injuries increases with age: heat cramps in a younger person may become heat exhaustion in a middle-aged person or heatstroke in an elderly person. LA County lists tips for keeping cool and includes cooling centers in our area.
