Governor Gavin Newsom signed my historic gun reform legislation, Senate Bill 2, to counter a dangerous Supreme Court decision rolling back concealed carry weapon (CCW) laws across the nation.
SB 2 makes significant improvements to strengthen California’s existing CCW laws:

Ensures that only responsible, law-abiding citizens have access to these permits

Adds stronger training requirements

Sets the minimum age to 21 years old

Prohibits weapons in sensitive public places
