Sacramento, California – Senate Bill 786, authored by Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – Burbank), passed the Assembly Health Committee today. SB 786 would allow health care providers and pharmacies to continue to provide high quality affordable care, low cost drugs, and services to low income and uninsured patients by ensuring that these health care providers can benefit fully from the purchase of discounted drugs and use those savings to improve access to care and prescriptions at their facilities.
