Senator Portantino Adds New District Representative for South Pasadena, La Cañada Flintridge, San Marino- David Kim

La Cañada Flintridge, California – Today, Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) announced the addition of Minwoo “David” Kim to his district staff. Mr. Kim will be covering the cities of La Cañada Flintridge, San Marino, and South Pasadena. One of his focus areas will be working on API (Asian Pacific Islander) issues in the 25th Senate District.

Mr. Kim is a graduate of Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, with a dual emphasis Masters Degree in International Development/Urban Studies and Theology. A California native, he brings an extensive and impressive resume including serving as a Coro Fellow St.

“I am very happy to have Mr. Kim join our team. I am confident that he will serve the cities assigned to him very well and continue our tradition of community outreach efforts.  I take the community engagement portion of our job very seriously and know that David will be an asset to my office and the 25th State Senate District,” commented Senator Portantino.

Mr. Kim comes to the Senator’s staff having last worked in the City of Torrance, City Manager’s Office, where he worked on special projects, citizen concerns, and strategic planning.  He is fluent in Korean and very familiar with the 25th State Senate District.  He will work out of the Glendale office.

“I’m grateful for this opportunity to serve the unique communities of the 25th Senate District. I hope to help strengthen the connections and trust between the Senator’s Office and the communities assigned to me. I will especially focus on supporting the growing number of API constituents and add my voice and values to the team,” said David Kim.
