On June 19th, 2019, Senator Anthony J. Portantino welcomed Joanne Miller, owner of Once Upon A Page, to Sacramento as the 25th State Senate District 2019 Small Business of the Year. Once Upon a Page is a well known scrapbook and craft store located in Burbank for the past 21 years. Every year, the California Small Business Assocation hosts a luncheon and awards ceremoney in the Capitol where one small business is recognized by each of the 120 legislators. Senator Portantino chose Joanne and Once Upon a Page from the many thousands of small business in his district.
“I am very excited to honor my friend Joanne and Once Upon a Page. Joanne is not just a small business owner, she is an institution in Burbank. Her volunteer efforts for Burbank on Parade and the Burbank & Burroughs High School Alumni Association are commendable on their own. Once Upon a Page is a great store that represents the best of small main street businesses and I was very happy to honor her today,” commented Senator Portantino.
Once Upon A Page is a cozy and friendly scrapbooking/papercrafting store that offers the community an array of the latest art products and supplies. The store also provides residents protect and restore ther family photos and family history. Joanne bring a sense of warmth and community spirit to her work and the store that is contageous.
