Senator Pérez and Altadena Residents Secure Investigation into State Farm Claims
SACRAMENTO – Senator Sasha Renée Pérez (D-Pasadena) issued the following statement on California State Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara starting an investigation into State Farm’s conduct relating to the Los Angeles County wildfires:
“These residents have organized with neighbors, documented complaints, and created a compelling argument that warrants this Market Conduct Examination by the Department of Insurance. I was proud to elevate their demands by authoring a letter co-signed by Legislative colleagues demanding a Market Conduct Investigation into LA Fire Victims claims. I have also spoken directly with Commissioner Lara and appreciate his engagement and commitment to our collective recovery as he, again, demonstrates by opening this critical investigation.”
