PASADENA — Senator Sasha Renée Pérez will host a community swearing-in event tomorrow and will take a ceremonial oath of office, administered by Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-28) to represent District 25 in the California State Senate. The Saturday event starts at 10 a.m. inside Sexson Auditorium at Pasadena City College, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd. Free public parking is available in Student Parking Lot 5. Drivers should enter on S. Bonnie Ave. between E. Del Mar Blvd. and E. Colorado Blvd. The ceremonial swearing-in is open to the public and will include light refreshments.
“I am honored and am looking forward to seeing so many people who want to spend their time celebrating our district, offering their encouragement, and engaging with me and my team. Serving the people of Senate District 25 is an enormous honor and privilege,” said Senator Pérez.
Originally, this community gathering had been scheduled for January, but was postponed due to the Eaton Fire in order to focus on disaster relief efforts. Senator Pérez’s official swearing-in took place in Sacramento on December 2, 2024.
