Portantino’s 710 Rent Freeze Bill Passes Assembly Transportation Committee

Sacramento, CA – Yesterday, the California State Assembly Transportation Committee voted 12-1-1 to pass SB 400. SB 400 is a bill authored by State Senator Anthony Portantino, D – La Cañada Flintridge, that requires Caltrans to freeze the rent for the homes located in the 710 corridor. California Umbilical Cord Blood Collection Program Funded at UC Davis

Sacramento, CA – On Thursday, June 22, AB 114, a very important budget trailer bill, passed the State Senate. Included in AB 114 is a five-year extension of funding for the University of California’s Umbilical Cord Blood Collection Program (UCBCP). The current funding of this lifesaving cancer treatment effort is set to sunset on January 1, 2018.
