GLENDALE—State Senator Anthony J. Portantino has submitted a letter to Caruso Affiliated Holdings urging the company to reconsider its decision and allow public advertising for the Armenian Genocide and human rights documentary, “Architects of Denial.” Reports have pegged politics as the explanation for the Caruso Affiliated decision not to feature the film in an outdoor billboard advertisement.

Glendale Youth Alliance named Nonprofit of the Year by Sen. Anthony Portantino

State Sen. Anthony Portantino honored the Glendale Youth Alliance (GYA) as the 25th State Senate District Nonprofit of the Year at a special ceremony on June 28 in Sacramento. GYA Board Chair Shant Sahakian and Executive Director Karine Grigoryan were in attendance to accept the honor.

SACRAMENTO—State Senators Anthony Portantino and Scott Wilk on Tuesday sent a letter to their colleagues in the California State Senate urging them to support AB 1597, which calls for the divestment of California’s public pension funds from investment vehicles that are owned, controlled or managed by the Turkish government.
