Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) authored SB 1317 and SB 1266, two important bills to protect communities against burglaries and unregulated recovery facilities. Both bills passed key policy committees this week, Senate Health and Senate Public Safety, and are now moving to the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Sacramento, California – Today, the Senate Committee on Transportation and Housing voted to pass SB 1360. The bill,  authored by Senator Anthony J. Portantino, D – La Cañada Flintridge, allows a person with a driver’s license from the Republic of Korea to be exempt from specific testing requirements when applying for a California driver’s license.

SACRAMENTO—Both houses of the California State Legislature on Monday passed resolutions recognizing the Armenian Genocide and urging Washington, which continues to deny the systematic murder of 1.5 million Armenians in 1915, to follow suit.
