Senator Portantino Honors Burbank’s Once Upon a Page/Joanne Miller as 25th District Small Business of the Year

Sacramento, California – Today, Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D–La Cañada Flintridge) welcomed Joanne Miller, owner of Once Upon A Page, to Sacramento as the 25th State Senate District 2019 Small Business of the Year.  Once Upon a Page is a well-known scrapbooking and craft store located in Burbank, California.  Every year, the California Small Business Association hosts a luncheon and awards ceremony in the State Capitol where small businesses from around the state are honored.  Senator Portantino selected Once Upon a Page from the thousands of small business in his district.

“I am very excited to honor my friend Joanne and Once Upon a Page.  Joanne is not just a small business owner, she is an institution in our Burbank community.  Her volunteer efforts for Burbank On Parade and the Burbank & Burroughs High School Alumni Association are commendable on their own.  Once Upon a Page is a great store that represents the best of small businesses and I was very happy to honor her today,” commented Senator Portantino. 

Once Upon A Page is a cozy and friendly scrapbooking/paper crafting store that offers the community an array of the latest art products and supplies. Joanne bring a sense of warmth and contagious community spirit and it shows through her work.
