The bill offers long-term comprehensive solutions to the current teacher shortage crisis by making it easier for retired teachers to return to the classroom and provides financial incentives for new, prospective teachers.

The bill gives doctors the discretion to report personal conditions they believe will impair a patient’s ability to drive. It further removes language that discriminates against specific conditions, including epilepsy.
