Alta Skinner

Alta Skinner is a community advocate, a compassionate volunteer and strong supporter of children with special needs in education. “I always have a special place in my heart for the children that need extra support and need to know we care” Her passion for children is evident throughout her career. Alta worked for the Bonita Unified School District for 18 years as the Campus Supervisor for Ramona Middle School. Her dedication of children is evident from the numerous recognitions she received during her tenure with the school district. She is the recipient of the PTA Founders Award for Ramona Middle School, the Lions Club State Award Quest Program Lone Hill Middle, the Bonita USD Classified Employee of Year, the  Ramona Classified Employee of Year and the Dedication and Commitment Award for Ramona Middle and Bonita USD 2010 among a few.

A leader in her community of San Dimas, she is a recipient of the 1999 San Dimas Citizen of the Year. Her dedication extends itself to all sectors of the community. An expert in education, a member of the Chamber, a member of the San Dimas Human Services Commission and a very active mom with an Annual Athletic/Scholar Scholarship named after her.

Alta is a firm believer in the family unit and its foundation. Her motto, “I am always Family First, Always and Forever” She is married to her husband Jim for 51 Years, she is the mother of two, and the proud grandmother of three grandsons.
