Sacramento, California – Today, Senator Anthony J. Portantino, D- La Cañada Flintridge, invited Dr. Anthony Culpepper to testify before the State Senate Budget Sub-Committee on Education. Dr. Culpepper is the Executive Vice President of Glendale Community College. Senator Portantino Chairs the Senate Sub-Committee on Education. Dr. Culpepper shared his and GCC’s thoughts and concerns on Governor Brown’s proposals for online community college in California.  

Sacramento, California- Today, the Senate Education Committee unanimously passed SB 1243 with bi-partisan support. The legislation is authored by Senator Anthony J. Portantino, D- La Cañada Flintridge, and sponsored by IBM. SB 1243 proposes a unique early college/high school technology pathway program which is known as P-TECH.
